OhioLINK is pleased to announce that user-initiated print lending will resume on August 10th to support students and faculty returning to campus for fall. Print lending, which ceased as library buildings closed, was the lone OhioLINK service adversely affected by COVID-19.

Library organizations and responsibilities have evolved, yet the ILS still focuses primarily on the acquisition, management, and delivery of objects. Our needs have outpaced existing offerings. We must shift our focus from collections to users. In this white paper, OhioLINK’s Library Advisory Council envisions moving beyond next-generation library systems to enable users' research, learning, and teaching.

Thanks to open educational resources, every student enrolled in Ohio Dominican University’s Introduction to Statistics course during the 2018-19 academic year saved about $250 on the cost of a textbook – that’s $60,000 saved collectively by students at ODU between both fall and spring semesters!
